Heard She Broke Your Heart Again

Metronomy's "Heartbreaker" is pretty much your standard pop story - girl breaks guy's heart, his homeys rally and take him out for Kronenbergs and crisps, they sit around watching a Belgian preteen choir performing "I Touch Myself," etc. But creeping, off-key vehicular instrumentation (a la Blur's Gene by Gene) and a bros-only whistle/sax chorus reminds us she'll want you much more for not hanging on (stop me if I'm wrong).

Metronomy - Heartbreaker (Anoraak Rmx)

Anoraak is part of the globe-conquering Parisian Nantes electro crew Valerie along with College, whose debut LP Secret Diary (now available on iTunes) may be the key to surviving extended holidays with extended relatives. Either that or this video.

Bonus bro support anthem:

The Streets - Don't Mug Yourself (from Original Pirate Material)
